Perpignan la Catalane, Perpinyà la Catalana.
Perpignan, the capital of french Catalogne from Xe century until mid XVIIe century.
It is located in an privileged environnement : the littoral Mediterranean made by big rocks on the beaches, surrounded by the mountains, one of which named Canigou (one of the highest summit in French Pyrenees). The region of Tramontane draw out the blue sky and the light inspire « fauvism ».
Perpignan is actually the capital of Oriental Pyrenees, surround the spanish Catalogne, it is a passage-city between Barcelone and the cities of Languedoc Roussillon.
It is Salvador Dali who declared the train station of Perpignan is the focal point of univers. It is Perpignan the "focal point of the world", that it becames naturely the start of the Road Dali.
